Joe Fritsch is a poet and critic. His writing has appeared in Underwater New York, Mad House Journal, and elsewhere. Originally from Rochester, he works at Poets House in Manhattan and lives in Brooklyn. He hasn't been to a barber shop since 2010.

Corrine Fitzpatrick is based in Brooklyn. She is a recipient of a 2014 Creative Capital/Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant.

Lazy Sonnets / Hurried Sonnets

These sonnets are tentative firsts in an attempted pact with this classic European form. It's clear to me at least that they don't quite believe in the form yet, but my creative writing students responded well to the structure, and they've challenged me to write 100 this year.

Sara Deniz Akant's work has appeared in CutBank, jubilat, Lana Turner, and elsewhere. She is the author of Parades (Omnidawn 2014), Latronic Strag (Persistent Editions 2015), and Babette (forthcoming from Rescue Press this fall). She lives in New York.

Patricia Spears Jones is the author of seven collections, most recently the chapbook Living in the Love Economy (Overpass Books, 2014) and A Lucent Fire: New and Selected Poems (White Pine Press), Fall 2015.

Joseph Lease's critically acclaimed books of poetry include Testify (Coffee House Press, 2011) and Broken World (Coffee House Press, 2007). Lease’s poems "'Broken World' (For James Assatly)" and "Send My Roots Rain" were anthologized in Postmodern American Poetry: A Norton Anthology (Norton). Lease’s poem “Free Again (Why don’t people)” was published in The New York Times. He is a Professor of Writing and Literature at California College of the Arts.
